This website (gaddgroupplayscapes.com) is operated by Gadd Landscape Solutions Pty Ltd, trading as Playscapes by Gadd Group — the playground division of Gadd Group. In this policy “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company.

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy covers this website only. Information you give us while we quote or deliver a project is handled under the same principles.

Information you give us. When you send an enquiry through the contact form we collect what you type into it: your first name and email address and your message (required), and — if you choose to fill them in — your last name, phone number, business name, suburb, the service you are interested in and whether you ticked the newsletter box. If you phone or email us directly we collect what you tell us.

Information collected automatically. As you browse, the site records basic first-party visit statistics: the page address you viewed, the page that referred you, whether your screen is phone, tablet or desktop sized, and a random visit identifier stored in your browser. If you arrived from a paid advertisement we also record which advertising platform and campaign brought you here. These statistics are not linked to your name or email address and we do not use them to identify you.

Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) for security and reliability.

We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health information) through this website, and we ask that you do not include it, or personal details about children, in your message.

• To respond to your enquiry, arrange a site visit and prepare a quote.
• To deliver and administer any work you engage us to do.
• To send you our newsletter, but only if you ticked the subscribe box. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting us on the details below.
• To understand, in aggregate, which pages and advertisements bring people to the site so we can improve it.
• To keep the website secure and to meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated purposes without your consent unless the law requires or permits it.

This website keeps its use of cookies and browser storage small:

• Visit identifier — a random ID kept in your browser’s local storage so that several page views in one browser count as one visitor. It contains no personal details.
• Advertising source cookie — set only if you arrive by clicking a paid advertisement. It records the platform and campaign name and is removed when you close your browser.
• Sign-in cookies — used only on the private dashboard our own staff use to view site statistics. Visitors to the public site never receive them.

You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. The site, including the contact form, still works without them.

We share personal information only with the people and service providers who help us run this website and respond to you:

• Our staff and related companies within Gadd Group who handle enquiries and projects.
• Our website developer, who maintains this site and operates the email relay that delivers enquiry-form messages to our inbox.
• Website hosting — Vercel, which serves the site and processes form submissions.
• Database hosting — Supabase, which stores the visit statistics and a record that an enquiry was made (name, email address and the service or business named), shown in our private dashboard.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not give your details to third parties for their own marketing.

Some of the service providers above store or process data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to enquiry records and site statistics is limited to authorised people with their own sign-in. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, and then delete or de-identify it.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete an enquiry you have sent. Contact us on the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time (usually 30 days). If we cannot do what you ask, we will tell you why.

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first so we can look into it and respond, normally within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
